March 29, Holy Thursday – Altar of Repose 8:00pm-12:00am Adoration in Francis Hall
Eucharistic Adoration is the act of worshipping God as He is present in the consecrated Eucharist. In Eucharistic Adoration, the Eucharistic Host (the Body of Jesus) is placed in a gold monstrance to be adored.
You are invited to come spend time with Jesus truly present in the Holy Eucharist and allow Him to transform your life. Catholics believe Jesus to be truly present in the most Holy Eucharist. We believe that at each celebration of the Mass, bread and wine are truly transformed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Through this transformation, Jesus comes to be present with us not only spiritually, but physically.
Therefore, if Jesus is truly present (body, blood, soul, & divinity) in the most Holy Eucharist, then we can gaze upon and worship Him in His physical presence. We are blessed by this amazing opportunity to worship Jesus himself, through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, or most Holy Eucharist.
The Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel at St. Anthony is located in the front of church to the right of the pulpit.
Entrance to the chapel is through the parish office during regular business hours.
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am—5:00 pm, Tuesday-Thursday, 6:30 pm—9:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am—12:00pm.
