FUNERALS AND CEMETERY

Funerals

Our pastoral team will do everything we can to support families of deceased loved ones through prayer and planning of funeral services. We provide all three rites provided by the church in the Order of Christian Funerals:

  • Vigil Service celebrated on the afternoon or evening before the funeral, starting with saying the Rosary

  • Funeral Mass the central rite being celebrated in the church with family and friends

  • Rite of Committal service performed at the graveside.

Please contact our parish office so that we can help you to begin making arrangements. We will provide you with additional materials and support to guide you through the process.

Cemetery

St. Anthony Parish Cemetery is located at the corner of SW 115th & Gaarde St. It has been serving our parish since 1890. Our goal is to carry out the sacred, religious function of burial and care for the resting places of the deceased. The Catholic Church regards the burying of the dead as an act of deep, spiritual significance and a Corporal Work of Mercy.

Our Cemetery Director can help in the purchasing graveside plots or niches in the columbarium for urns. He can also help with planning for graveside markers to honor your family members.
